ConCerT is a National Level Students’ Technical Symposium organized by the Association of Ceramic Technologists, Department of Ceramic Technology, Anna University, Chennai – 25. ConCerT ’09, a three day technical event is a beacon of the Ceramic Society illuminating the development and technological advancements.

This symposium endeavors to exemplify the competence of young ceramic technologists in the current trend across the globe. It also invites eminent scientists, researchers and industrialists to deliver lectures about the recent advances in ceramics and also the current research and industrial scenario. It provides solid foundation and directions to students to pursue their goals.

ConCerT also addresses many topics related to entrepreneurial and management skills and also urges students to spearhead in those fields. It also introspect the students’ inherent talents by conducting technical paper presentations, quizzes, group discussions etc. In correlation with the ConCerT a magazine ‘KERAMOS’ which briefs about the activities of the three day technical extravaganza.

The symposium is scheduled on 18-20 March 2009. The purpose of the conference is to bring together scientists, engineers, research staff, and students from universities, research institutes and related industrial companies, in the field of ceramic-based materials. The activities at the conference will be enhanced with plenary and invited lectures given by internationally distinguished scientists, oral and poster presentations, covering a broad range of fundamental and applied topics.. The conference also focuses on application and advances of ceramic processing science to extremely fine scale multilayer ceramic components, electronic ceramics, materials for fuel cells, nano ceramics, nuclear and space ceramics, fibres and composites, glass and glass ceramics, bioceramics, structural ceramics and refractory.

RULES:
* Maximum of 2participants per team.
* Plagiarism in any form is strictly forbidden.
* Participants are initially required to mail only their abstract before the deadline.
* Selected candidates will be intimated; following which 1 hardcopy and 1 softcopy of the full paper will have to be sent within a week.
* Participants shall not exceed 8-10 min for their presentation.
* Presentation will be followed by a questioning session by the judge
* Decision of the judges will be final.
