EVENTS:

20 Q (Questions Your Mind)

RULES:

• Participant wiil be given a clue which will hold a key to the answer.
• Participant will be allowed to ask 20 Yes/No type questions.
• Using the Answers to these questions, Participant will need to narrow down to correct answer.
• A max. of three Guesses for the answers and 2 minutes for the questioning will be allowed.
• Points will be awarded for speed & accurate answer.

CYBORG ( PROJECT DISPLAY)

Model display competition to showcase the talents of our young inventors.

RULES:-

• Individual as well as Team Participation (not more than 3) is Allowed.
• One Model/Project per team participation will be entertained.
• Team should explain entire working of their model with one hard copy of abstract (150 words).
• Under all circumstances judge’s decision will be final.

IDEAZ (The Paper Presentation)

It is a competition for testing the technical & presentation skills of the students.

RULES: -

Eligibility: -

• Open for students of all disciplines of Engg.
• Maximum no. of authors per entry :Two (2) Any number of teams from a college can apply.
• The abstract should be typed in 1.5 spaces, times new roman, 12-point font on A-4 size paper with maximum of 200 words and should carry the name of participants, institute’s name, and e-mail id along with telephone nos. The abstract should reach us by e-mail on or before 10th March 2009 by 5 pm at principal@venatio.in
• Maximum time allocated for the presentation is 10 min (8 min for presenting and 2 min for conclusion) followed by 2 min of interactive session. OHP/ Multimedia Projectors will be provided. The selected candidate will be informed latest by 15th March 2009. Three (3) hard copies and one soft copy in CD of complete manuscript of the presentation should be brought on the day of presentation.
• Time limit should not be exceeded.

KSHMTA (Aptitude Test)

RULES:

• There will be 45 questions will be in 40 minutes, No sectional cutoff. Quant – 15, Logical reasoning – 15, Verbal ability – 15.
• Out of all the participants, top 15 will be selected for the mock interviews for the next day.
• At the mock interviews all the participants will be lie on the same level i.e. there is no credit of the marks scored in the aptitude test.
• Participants are requested to bring their resume in advance for the mock interviews.
• Out of those 15 participants top three will be chosen on the basis of their performance in the mock interviews.

AD INNOVA – THE AD MAD SHOW

RULES:

• Each team will comprise of three members at the most.
• Each team will be provide a situation and a prop which the team will have to use and create an ad.
• Each team will be given only ten minutes to work on their ideas.
• The teams will display their ads before the audience and the panel of judges in 2.5 minutes at the most.

SQUIEEZ (G.K. QUIZ)

RULES:-

• Two member per team are allowed.
• Depending upon number of entries screening will be done before the final.
• In case of a Tie, the winner will be decided by a tie breaker round .

POLL-KHOL (MEET THE PRESS)

The knowledge and eloquence of the participants is tested when they try to enact their favorite celebrities.

RULES:

• Time allotted to each participant is 2 min.
• Participant must speak on a famous personality and answer questions of the judges and audience

SPONTANIA (EXTEMPORE)

RULES:-

• 30 seconds will be given as preparation time.
• Participants will have to speak for 2 minutes only.

MAHASANGRAM (DEBATE)

RULES:-

• 2 members per team, where one will speak for the motion and the other against the motion.
• Each speaker will be given 4 minutes for speaking and 2 minutes for answering questions.
• Speakers exceeding the time limit will be penalized.
• Language permitted is English only.
• No written material will be allowed.
• Topic for debate will be given before 60 min. from start of events.
• Decision of judges would be final.
• Cross-questioning not permitted.

BUSINESS QUIZ

• Topics will be given on the spot.
• Time limit for each round will be 10 Minute.
• English language is compulsory.
• Use of offensive physical gestures is prohibited.
• User of notepads is allowed.
• Decision of judges will be final and abiding.

TECHNOMANIA (TECHNICAL QUIZ)

• Two members per team are allowed.
• In case of a Tie, The winner will be decided by a tie breaker round.
• Depending upon the number of entries screening will be done before the final.
• There will be two stages in the quiz contest
  • STAGE 1:
    • PRELIMS (A) written test consisting of 30 questions to be answered in 20 minutes.
    • FINAL(B) Four teams will be selected for the finals.
