A national level students’ technical symposium.

ON MAY 12^TH & 13^TH 2009

Events:

1) Paper presentation

2) Technical Quiz

3) Business Plan presentation& other on-spot events.

1) Paper presentation: Themes - Structural engineering, Geotechnical engineering, Alternative building materials, Surface & ground water resources, Highway/transportation engineering & Water and air pollution. Based on these 6 theme, sessions have been formed there will be cash prize for all the sessions thus we encourage & invite all the civil engineering students to utilize these opportunity and present a qualitative paper. Mail your detailed abstract/full length paper at: censaf@ymail.com , sandeep_dsi@yahoo.com by 30-04-2009 (extended date), selected papers will be intimated & they have to send 2 hard copies to the convenor.

2) Technical quiz: To ignite your minds and to explore the content & depth of civil engineering in you. We are placing you all on right platform. So join the wagon to explore.

Rounds: Rules:

• Written test – 2 per team, max 3 entries per college.

• Round 1 – 2 participants will be allowed to take up written test.

• Round 2 – only objective type questions related to civil engg. & there will

• Finals be technical picture & video round.

3) Business Plan Presentation: To enable the development of entrepreneurship in the civil engineering field and to know the capability of civil engineering students to create employment opportunities & creative business model. We welcome the b-plans ranging from sustainable construction materials marketing, green buildings concept mkt, rain water harvesting agencies, Construction Company, design & consultancy, rural development models & many more ideas to our event.

· Realistic plans & financial projections of b-plan will fetch more points.

· It is a board room presentation which will be similar to corporate affairs.

· Min 2 per team & max 3 per team.

· Mail your business plan summary by 30-04-2009. To censaf@ymail.com , vishnuknv@yahoo.com .

· After selection send the full detailed plan, 1 soft copy & 2 hard copies to the convenor by post/by hand.

· Only Appreciation Prize for poster presentation.

· Participants have to bring their own magazine/paper cutouts.

Note: no registration fee for technical quiz, business plan presentation & poster presentation events, accommodation & 1 way T.A (2^nd Train fare) will be provided.
