Here’s your chilling pill!!….Presenting AD MANIA!! PROBLEM STATEMENT:-
In the modern world of buisness,it is useless to be a creative original thinker unless you also sell what you create..So Ad Mania welcomes you all to explore your creative skills..
EVENT DESCRIPTION:-
The central idea of the event is to test the managerial skills of all participants. It is mainly divided into three phases:
The Rising:-
This is the first and the preliminary phase, where the participants are expected to go through a question and answer round. The asked questions will be pertaining to the corporate and advertising world. The top 20 teams will qualify for the next round.
The Battleground:-
This is the second level of difficulty. The selected participants will be given three popular brand names and they have to draw its logos. But that’s not all. The participants will then be given the logo of an already existing company but now they have to reverse their thinking and create a new logo for the same. They will also have to list out how the newly designed logo & tag line describes the product more authentically, than the already existing one. So, this phase will be the deciding factor for the 5 teams to qualify to the final round.
The Destiny:-
This is the final round of this chilling event .The top teams will give each other competition that will go down to the wire….so hold on your breath this is what you are supposed to do…The participants have to design an ad so as to launch a given product successful in the market …yet,there is a snag to it, the launching of the product will be done when the market situation is slumped,i.e., in the worst possible situations !! fair enough?? The team that successfully launches its product and is appealing to the jury wins the game!!! ……. So, what are you thinking?? Enroll now!! Registrations open!!
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
a)A team may consist of an individual or maximum of 2 members.
b)The presentation should not exhibit any objectionable material / gesture/ language or behavior direct/indirect in any form.
c)The decision of the jury about the suitability, relevance or nature of presentation will be final.
d)Teams will be notified of the phase and area of presentation.
e)Teams must present their ads within the specified time and allotted floor area.
f)The presentation /ads etc should not damage or manipulate any object /property of the event venue.
g)Use of any tangible object which is a property of SRMU is strictly prohibited without prior permission from event coordinators.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
The selection of participants for “the rising” will be based on the points obtained. The judging criteria for the second and third round will be decided by jury.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs):-
1)How many numbers of questions will be asked in “THE RISING”- first phase?
Ans:- 40 questions
2)How much time will be allotted in THE BATTLE GROUND?
Ans:- 30 mins
3)In case of tie in the final round how will the jury decide?
Ans:- In case of tie the jury will see the time taken taken by both team in preparing their preparing and giving their presentation.
4)How many participants/teams will go to the THE BATTLE GROUND?
Ans:- 20 participants/teams.
5)In THE DESTINY the participants will be provided labs or laptops for the PPT presentation or they have to manage on their own??
Ans:- This round will be conducted in the computer lab, where each team will be provided with individual system.
6)Will there be questions based on the marketing values of companies?
Ans:- No, you don’t need to have deep knowledge about the companies. But you just need to have an overview.
7)Is there negative marking in THE RISING?
Ans:- No negative marks will be given for wrong answers.
