• Founded by Kalaithanthai Karumuttu Thiagarajar Chettiar in the year 1962.
• The initial objective was to provide quality management education for working executives and entrepreneurs.
• The success of this programme resulted in the inception of a part time MBA programme in 1972 followed by the full time MBA programme from 1986 onwards.
