1. Tech Talk – Paper Presentation

Ever wished to enlighten the folks around you with what you know? Be it an idea, concept or your personal research work, we have set the podium to get your knowledge acknowledged. So, test your understanding, present your creativity and showcase the intellect in you at our Paper presentation at Blitz10.

Team formation

• A team of maximum of two participants pursuing undergraduate program are allowed to participate.
• The team members may belong to different college/university and/or different branch.

Topics

• Artificial Intelligence, Evolutionary computation.
• Neural networks
• Database and data mining
• Image processing
• Networking and information security
• Distributed and parallel computing
• Wireless network and Mobile communication.
• Recent trends in IT

Paper format

• The paper should have an abstract not exceeding 200 words.
• The paper should be in the format of .doc or .pdf.
• The paper should be strictly in IEEE FORMAT.
• The authors e-mail ID & contact number should be mentioned.

Presentation instruction

• The paper submitted will have to be presented during the event.
• 3 hard copies of the same are to be submitted before presentation.
• The teams will get 8 minutes to present their paper, followed by a question and answer session.
• Decision of the judges and the event heads shall be treated as final.

2. Aesthetic Designer- Poster Design

“If you have ideas and imaginary, technique will follow.”

Posters are an advertising tool meant to capture the attention of customers while on the move. The difficult part about designing posters is that they have to be able to capture attention in one glance, and in that one glance, a reader should be able to immediately discern the message.

Rules for Poster Design :

1. Two members per team.

2. Pictures and themes will be provided on the spot.

3. No prelims.

4. Time duration 45 minutes.

3. Astonishing Clicker – Photography Contest

If you have a photographic memory that was never developed, then this one’s for you. Just click away at anything you feel is profound, beautiful or simply comical and submit it to us. The rest, as they say, will go down in history. So, if you think you are good at photography and want to prove it, just come to this event.

Rules and Regulations:

1. The theme (if any) shall be disclosed only on the competition day

2. Each participant will be allowed to submit only two photographs. No multiple entries will be allowed.
3. The photograph should be a digital one and should be transferable to computer.
4. The participants will be expected to have their own means of transferring the photograph to a computer (by means of USB cables, blue tooth dongles).However we shall try and provide multimedia card readers and blue- tooth dongles for this purpose but we shall not be responsible for any compatibility issues that may arise.
5. The participants will have to submit their photographs at the photography competition desk and get them registered. The participants should have their college ID cards along with them.
6. Digital modification will not be allowed.

7.The decision of the judge shall be final and binding.

4. BEST MANAGER

Rules:

1) Individual Event

2) A prelims will be conducted. It is a test with multiple choice questions.

3) Participants who clear the minimum cut-off in this test will progress to the finals.

4) During finals, you will have different tests.

6. Trouble shooter – Hardware

In today’s IT market scenario, there is a huge requirement of IT professionals with a firm grasp of Hardware and Networking concepts. With the role of an IT professional not restricted to one technology alone, the industry requires one to have all-round knowledge of computer hardware & networking concepts and technologies.

7. BEAT THE BEST – OPEN EVENT

Here we present you a challenge, to beat the best, to prove your talent. “Gone are the days when you were a pushover, now it’s your turn to push others over”. So get ready for the biggest test of your wits and guts. This event provides an opportunity to prove your excellence on technical, non technical and innovative talents in the form of writing skills. A place where your intellect gets showcased in front of great minds.

• Individual participation.
• 50 questions will be given based on technical, non technical and creative thinking.
• Should submit the answer sheet on or before 2.30 p.m
• Top 3 will be awarded.
