ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER APPLICATION

The Department of Computer Applications of Sona college of Technology is conducting a National Level Technical Meet CYBERTALK’10 on 27^th March, 2010. This technical meet will provide a platform for gaining technical skills and develop inherent talents among great young minds.

1. PAPER PRESENTATION

Participants should send their Problem Abstract (Hard & soft Copies) before March 10, 2010

Selected team will be intimated on or before March 15, 2010 through e-mail or Telephone.

Abstract should be in IEEE format ( A4 Size paper, Times New Roman with font size 12, single line spacing, maximum of 2 pages)/ standard journal.

Abstract should be sent to the mail cybertalk10@gmail.com. It should be in either a portable document format (.pdf) or document format (.doc).

2.MARKETING

Maximum of five participants per team. One team per college.

Language allowed: English

Malignity, vulgarity through words/action will lead to disqualification.

Two participants per team for prelims that will be conducted as off-stage event. Finals will be held on stage.

3.QUIZ

One team per college.  Maximum of two participants per team.

Prelims will be conducted.

The question can be from any domain and will be quit technical and current affairs.

4. DEBUGGING

Two participants per team, one team per college.

Prelims and finals based on C, C++, Java.

Finals will be held off-stage.

5. MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION

• Phase 1:  The participants should send their own presentation on any theme by COURIER on or before March 10, 2010. Selected team will be intimated on or before March 15, 2010 through e-mail.
• Phase 2:  The selected teams will have to participate in off-stage event to develop their presentation lively, through the given software’s, music files and pictures within the time-limit specified.

Tools:  3D-Max , Flash, Photoshop and Movie Maker.

• Phase 3:  Participants have to demonstrate their presentation

On-stage for a period of minutes and attend a query session for 3 minutes.

6. WEB DESIGNING

Two participants per team.  Prelims will be conducted.

Finals will be conducted off-stage for the short listed participants.
