ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The research area of Grid Computing is making a rapid progress, owing to the increasing necessity of computation in resolving complex applications. Grid middleware provides users with seamless computing ability and uniform access to resources in heterogeneous Grid environment. Grids offer a way to solve grand challenge problems such as protein folding, financial modeling, earthquake simulation, and climate/weather modeling.

This Programme aims to provide the participants, the knowledge about Grid architecture and services. The course also focuses more on giving hands-on experience to work in Grid middleware.

ELIGIBLITY

Faculty, Research Scholars and Students from AICTE approved Engineering Colleges/University can apply. Participants from Industry are also eligible to attend the workshop.

HOW TO REACH?

Sathyamangalam is well connected by road from all major cities like Erode, Coimbatore, Mysore, Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi etc., The nearest railway stations are Erode (65 Km) & Coimbatore (70 Km).

REGISTRATION

The participants can register for the workshop by paying Rs 750/- on or before 20.02.2010. All registered participants will be provided free boarding and lodging in the Institute campus.

MODE OF PAYMENT

Registration fee is to be paid by Demand Draft in favour of “The Principal, BIT” payable at Sathyamangalam along with the registration form. The registration form must contain the signature of Head of the Institution with seal.
