K.L.N. COLLEGE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY is the first engineering college on Information Technology in Madurai, started in 2001 by the munificence of philanthropists and well-wishers in the Sourashtra community, which is a linguistic minority in Tamil Nadu. The college, a co-educational one, is sponsored by K.L.N. Sourashtra College of Engineering Council, consisting of eminent industrialists and academicians led by the pioneer Amarar Thiru K.L.N. Krishnan. It is approved by the A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University , Tiruchirappalli. The college offers five Under Graduate Programmes in Engineering and Technology and one Post Graduate Programme in Computer Applications.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has well qualified and experienced Faculty members with both Teaching and Research Experience. Faculty members are continuously upgrading their knowledge by the way of presenting papers in conferences, attending workshops, seminars, Faculty development programs etc., to epitomize the cutting edge technology prevailing in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. For mutual mobilization of Technological ideas, Interaction with Industry is carried out as a curriculum requirement and visits by eminent Persons from the Industries and Academic Institutions are encouraged. Students do projects in industry to get real time Industrial Exposure.
