About Protocall’10:

Protocall’10 is a two day national level technical symposium on recent trends and technologies conducted by the department of computer science of Tamilnadu college of engineering. It is an attempt to create awareness in minds of the students about the upcoming future technologies through various activities and to create innovation in the minds of students. It includes 6 events which would serve as the platform to exhibit the hidden talents of the techies from various colleges.

Date of Events: 17th & 18th March 2010.

We warmly welcome the students from Various Institution to take part in the events and make this program a grand success.

Paper Presentation:

“Innovation in the key for invention”

Platform where you can exhibit your innovation. Present your ideas we provide you the stage. Come exhibit your techy knowledge.

Topics:

Cloud Computing, Networking, Recent Trends, Nanotechnology, Grid Computing

Rules:

• Maximum of 2 authors for per paper
• 7 minutes of presentation 2 minutes of queries
• Abstract should not exceed 1 page
• Paper should be in IEEE format
• Paper should not exceed 10 pages
• Text should be in Times New Roman, font size 12
• All participants should specify their mail id & contact number
• Two hard copies and one soft copy should be sent
• Paper should be sent either by mail or courier
• Submission Deadline: 10th Mar’10

Multimedia Presentation:

Reveal your ideas with flashing lights and mind blowing animations. Show that you can

express anything  in a beautiful manner and grab the attention of the audience such that

their eyes forgets to blink.

Rules:

• Presentation should be of only 7 minutes

• Presentation should contain some good theme in it

• You will have to do the presentation on the spot

• Time slot will be given

• Maximum of 2 per team

Network Gaming:

“Speed thrills thrills and thrills” !!….

Show your gaming talent in the network gaming. You will have to compete with the other        participants in a network environment. It will be conducted in two rounds, participants              qualified in the first round will proceed to the next round. Registration for the event is on spot.

IT Marketing:

“A product without an advertisement is just like winking at a girl in dark!!!…”

Unveil your marketing skill in IT marketing. Show your talent in convincing the audience

to market your product.

Rules: Minimum 3 Maximum 4 participants per team, Topic will be announced on the spot,

5 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for queries, Registration will be on spot.

Code Debugging:

Untangle the nots in the programs. Show your techy knowledge by executing the     program successfully.

Rules:

Can participate only as singles, Code Debugging will be conducted in two round,

First round will be a paper  written round of objective type, Second round will be

direct implementation in the system, Registration will be on spot, Languages: c,c++,java.
