TATVABODH @ TECHNOSEARCH ‘10

(I)TATVAKRITI

    Tatvakriti provides you with the opportunity to showcase your creativity, bring
    out your ideas and give it shape and tangibility in the form of a poster. Mix and
    match your innate creative instincts and your ideas on any of the provided
    topics, the culmination of which shall be put to competition against other
    entries. It’s time to bring to the fore all your imagination & ideas and translate
    them onto your poster…the ultimate goal is to have fun…!

    RULES & REGULATIONS:
    Your poster could be on any topic of your choice, as long as it adheres to
    some facet of material science and/or metallurgy. Try and think of a
    topic which is appealing to you. Here are a few suggestions for some
    topics for the poster:
    Nanotechnology
    Smart Materials
    Polymers
    Ceramics
    Manufacturing Processes (Casting/Forging/Extrusion)
    Iron or Steel Making
    1) A team can have a maximum of three members.
    2) The size of the poster should not exceed 21” X 27”
    3) Teams desiring to participate are required to send the details of their
    teams and the desired topic to
    tatvakriti@yahoo.in. The last date for the
    same is 8th March.

    (II) TATVAKRIYA
    Treasure hunts have always managed to enthral & captivate people; the
    excitement building as you manage to crack a tantalising puzzle hinting to the
    next clue, and the sheer feeling of the adrenaline pumping as you follow one
    clue to the next, is unlike any other. People in prehistoric times used to scout
    about for materials that they could make use of, and then assembled them
    into useful products or found ways to utilise them in a useful manner. Imagine
    yourselves in such a scenario…you’ll have to follow the clues to the ‘treasure’;
    and then we’ll give you a fun task to perform with your treasure.
    Tatvakriya promises to provide you with an absorbing and nail-biting treasurehunting
    experience coupled with a fun-filled endgame. So it’s time to summon
    your inherent metallurgical and material science related know-how and get
    ready to take part in a race against other budding and enthused treasurehunters
    to see who uncovers the treasure first, and then engage yourselves in
    an entertaining hands-on experience in the endgame.

    EVENT DETAILS:

    STAGE 1: This stage shall comprise of a quiz designed to test your
    knowledge in various spheres. Think of it as a qualifier for the next
    round. Your relative performance as compared to other entrants shall be
    the criterion for your being eligible for the next stage.

    STAGE 2: Certain shortlisted teams who will have proved their mettle by
    qualifying through the first round shall take part in this stage. This round
    is the biggie…yes you guessed it, it’s going to be the much-awaited
    Treasure Hunt!
    The teams shall be provided with clues which they will need to crack to
    go on to the next clue, and then to the next, and so on.

    STAGE 3: The few(or maybe not so few) deserving teams who would
    have successfully rounded up all the treasures will be faced with another
    task, which shall require them to amalgamate their knowledge
    pertaining to manufacturing processes; and their ingenuity. But most of
    all, it’ll be loads of fun!
    At the conclusion of the third stage, the winners shall be chosen after an
    assessment of their performance in the task provided.
    So go ahead and give it all you’ve got! And not to mention, have a gala
    time!
