Vahana is organized once in two years by the Automobile Department of Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science.

Rules and Specification:

The paper must be in ‘.pdf’ or ‘.doc’ format. Preferably the former.
• The paper is supposed to strictly adhere to the Paper Format provided in the website
• Participants from different institutions can also form a team.
• The selection of the papers to be presented is solely based on the decision of the Paper-Selection Committee.
• A maximum of 2 students per team are allowed to present a paper (one as author and another as co-author) both the members are required to be present during the event.
• Presentations should be in ‘.ppt ‘. Microsoft Office 2003 will be provided.
• For the presentation, an LCD projector, a computer and a mike will be provided.
• The time for presentation will be 10 minutes. The buzzer will be rung once after 8 minutes to warn the participants and the buzzer will be rung once more after 10 minutes post which, if found extending the presentation, will be awarded negative marks.
• No request regarding change in schedule will be entertained.
• Only genuine, original papers are to be presented. Participants with papers found copied from any source like internet/ journals etc. will be disqualified.
• Participants must make sure their participation in VAHANA ’10 does not lead to violation of copyright laws of conferences/seminars they have previously attended.
• The papers will be judged based on the innovation, conceptualization and presentation skills.
• The results will be declared on the same day as that of VAHANA ’10 (March 20th 2010)
. All participants and winners will be awarded certificates on the same day.
• The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
