MLANCERS

M-LANCERS which stands for “ Mechanical Association for Creative Engineers” is run by the students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Vel Tech Multi Tech Dr.Rangarajan Dr.Sakunthala Engineering College, for the benefits of the students. M-LANCERS was inaugurated on 11th August 2009 by our honorable chief guest.

PAPER PRESENTATION

TOPICS

1.)MEMS
2.)Rapid Prototyping

” All other innovative papers,in mechanical engineering applications are accepted.”

ABSTRACT AND SOFT COPY

1.)The abstract must not exceed 250 words.
2.)The abstract and soft copy must follow 1.25 line spacing,Heading font size-16,
And content font size-14,   font style- times new roman.
3.)The abstract and soft copy should be submitted on or before 12th of july 2010.

RULES FOR PRESENTATION

1.)The time for presenting a topic is ten minutes followed by queries which lasts for
5 minutes.
2.)The participants should come with three hand copies and 1 soft copy power point Presentation.
3.)The judges decision will be the final decision.

PROJECT EXPO

1.)The project should be a working model and a maximum of three participants in a group are Permitted.
2.)The participants can be of different colleges.
3.)A soft copy of the project work is required which must be sent to encinda10project@gmail.com.
4.)A maximum time of 15mins is allocated for each group.
5.)The judges decision is the final decision and no arguments should be made over it.
C-RALLY

GENERAL RULES:

1.)The team must adhered to the sprit of healthy competition.
2.)The tram should not damage opponents bot in any way.
3.)The bot would be checked before the race and will be  discarded if found unsafe for participants and spectators.
4.)Participants should not step on to the arena at any point of time while controlling the bot.
5.)Any team which is not ready at time specified will be disqualified from competition.
6.)The team is allowed to compete only once in the competition.
7.)Only run with least time is to be considered.
8.)There must  be no physical contact between bot and its team after bot is set into arena, if found so will be disqualified .( 2pit step allowed for 15 seconds)

BOT RULES:

1.)The dimensions of the bot is 25*25 at every given point of the race
2.)The bot should not be constructed using readymade Lego kits, readymade gear assemblies can be used.
3.)The bots must have on-board power supply, no external power supply is allowed.
4.)If wireless circuit is used the bot must have a switch able dual frequency remote control.
5.)Bot must have proper fabrication.

ARENA SPECIFICATION:

1.)It is advisable that your bot should be able to maintain best possible speed over various surfaces.
2.)The truck consist of following terrains,SANDY,ROCKY,CLAY,GRASS,SPEED BREAKERS,ELEVATED SLOPE OF 45 DEGREE,GREASY SURFACE.

CADD MODELING

1.)A Maximum of 2 members are allowed in a team.
2.)Both the members should be of the same college.
3.)Prelims will be conducted.
4.)Modelling should be done in PRO-E.
5.)They must adhere to thye time constraints of the contest.
6.)The judges decision will be the final decision and no arguments must be made over it.

WATER ROCKETERY

1.)A Maximum of two members are allowed in  a team.
2.)Single and multi stage water rocketery is permitted.
3.)The rockets which makes the longest distance are considered.
4.)Time of flight will also be considered.
5.)No hazardous chemicals shpould be used.
6.)Launching pad and mechanism will be provided.
7.)No external launching pad or mechanism are allowed.
8.)Rockets deviating from the track will be discarded from the event.
9.)There should be a maximum of 3 number of fins.
10.)The judges decisions will be the final and no arguments should be made over it.

ADZAP

1.)A minimum of three people of three people are required in a group.
2.)They must adhere to the time constratints if exceeded will results in negative marks.
3.)The judges decision is  the final decision and no arguments must be made over it.

PRELIMINARY ROUND

1.)The participant will be given a concept or an idea over which you are requred to frame a poster with suitable
2.)The best and the impressive ones will be selected.
3.)The participants will be asked to enact an AD of the given topic within the specified time limit.
