EVENTS

DESIGN EVENTS:
1. CAD Modelling
Registered teams will appear for the first round and will be given time of 30 minutes to solve 30 questions (questions will be from basic engineering drawing and modelling software). After evaluation, 15 teams will be selected for the final round. In the Final round, 2D Diagram of an object will be given to the participants. Within the given time the participants should finish the model in 3D by using Solid Works.

2. Drafting
Registered students will appear for the first round. In the first round, a time of 30 minutes to solve 30 questions will be given (questions will be from basic engineering drawing). After evaluation, top 20 contestants will be selected for final round. The Final round involves 2D drafting of a challenging Isometric image. Duration will be 1 hour.

3. Innovative Modelling
Registered teams will appear for the first round and will be given time of 30 minutes to solve 30 questions (questions will be from basic engineering drawing and modelling softwares). After evaluation, 10 teams will be selected for next round. The Final round involves problem statements that the teams are expected to solve using novel ideas with appropriate software tools. Duration will be 1 hours. After the design, team should explain their concept to the judges.

lead to disqualification from the round.

§  In case
of any special requirements like PCs, projectors, power supply, extra space for
demo of your project etc. should be informed before itself.

§  Audience
voting box will be placed and they will form a part in the selection of
winners.

ROBOTICS

6. Line Robot (Autonomous Line Tracking Robot)
The robot should track the given path (normally black in color) and reach the final destination. The robot with least time to reach the finishing point will win the match. The event is based on time trials. Each team is given 2 minutes for calibration of sensors and 4 minutes for the trials. Team can have any number of trials within the time limit. The robots going out of the track may start again from the starting point. The team that completes the given path with the least time is declared as the winner.

7. Robo War

To push the opponent into the centre pit or off the arena. Arena size will be approximately 120 cm x120cm .pushing the opponent off will be considered a win for that particular set . A total of three sets will be played and whoever wins the most is the winner. If the set fails to finish in 5 minutes, it will be considered a tie.

8.Contraption
Contraptions perform a very simple task in a very complex fashion, usually including a chain reaction. Judging is based on the ability to complete the tasks specified by the challenge using as many steps as possible.
