Kings College of Engineering (KCE), run by Raj Educational Trust (RET), Chennai, is a fast growing Technical Institution in the state of  Tamilnadu, with a great promise to cater to the educational demands of the students in and around Thanjavur.

The Computer Science and Engineering Department was started in the year 2001. The department has got NBA accreditation in the year 2008.  It offers B.E. in Computer Science Engineering and M.E in Pervasive Computing Technology.
