About the workshop:
This workshop is aimed to serve as a platform for the
participants from engineering colleges to get a practical exposure of Virtual
instruments. This workshop would also enable them to take up their final year
projects in Virtual instruments. This would also be very useful for stimulating
the students to get placed in core industries. They would be trained on programming
and developing Virtual instruments using LabVIEW.
Contents of the Workshop:
Introduction to Virtual instruments
Basic Virtual instruments.
Programming in LabVIEW.
Practical Sessions.
Resource Persons:
Faculty from premier institutions like IIT and Anna University.
Faculty from R.M.K Engineering College.
Registration Fee: Rs.750/-
The registration fee includes workshop kit,
breakfast and lunch. Kindly note that no TA / DA and accommodation will be
provided for the participants.

About the Department:
The Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering started in the year 1998, is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for three years. The Department has a very good academic record since its inception The final year project “Automation of railway system using Embedded systems” done by the EIE students was awarded the Best project in the international exhibition “ACMEE-08” held at the Chennai Trade Centre.
The students have faired well in the placements. In the academic year 2010-11,
52 out of 66 students got placed in leading software and core industries. The core industries include VATECH WABAG Limited, BGR energy Limited, etc. Our
department has bagged with 9 university ranks.
The department has state of the art Process Control Laboratory, Measurements & Industrial Instrumentation Laboratory and Transducer Laboratory with major equipments like DCS, PLC and Process
stations.

Is we take DD in any bank? if we participate abt 7 membrs means, then we tak individual DD’s or single DD for 7 membrs? if we snd details with DD no. to ur mail, whn ll u snd confirmation mail to us? pls answr these qustns, otherwise

A single DD is sufficient for all the members. When you send DD and details to the mail, we will send the confirmation in 2 – 3 days.

The eligibility is given only for 2nd and 3rd years in that brochure…is it possible to make an exception for final years??

Yes final year students are also allowed to participate in the workshop.
