Symposiumz.net now provides a chance for others to post on this blog. Event organizers can post directly in the blog regarding your college event rather than submitting a form and waiting for me to post it.
You must register in the site in order to post an event. Registration is very simple and you can start posting as soon as you verify your email.
Here is a brief tutorial on how to post. This would be silly for users who already have experience in blogging but this is intended only for users who are new to blog.
After registration you can log in to the site here. Enter your username and password you chose during your registration.
You will be redirected to Dashboard after logging in. The next few images will show you how to post or submit an event.

Tutorial for submitting event
I hope the image is self-explanatory. But anyways here is a brief list of what you must do.
- Click on “Add new” below the post menu.
- Add the post title
- Add the event description and other details (Be as descriptive as possible since we have a huge hosting space, use images and videos as when it is necessary)
- You can enter the summary of your event in the “Excerpt” field . This is completely optional. If it is empty the first few words from your post will be displayed as summary in the front page of the blog.
- Add the necessary tags in your post according to the event
- Place the event in the appropriate category.
- You need to add an event logo to be displayed as thumbnail alongside the post. Check out the next few images on how to do that.
- Paste the url of the uploaded image in the custom field “Thumbnail”
- Optionally, you could add the location of your college Using the WP Geo location tab.
- After completing all the steps, you can submit your post for review.
- It would be published asap.
Here is a tutorial on how to add images to your post and also on how to add thumbnail next to your post.
- Click on the image icon next to the “Upload/Insert” field below the post title
- You will see a pop up window where you can browse for the files from your PC or upload an image from an url.

- After uploading you can choose the image size and where you want to position your image in your post.
- Also copy the location of the image (url) by clicking on the file url tab
- We will use this url in the custom field “Thumbnail” in your post

I hope this tutorial would be just enough for you to post. If you have anymore questions then ask it through the feedback page.
